Större succé än Louis Armstrong och hans musiker gjorde i Konserthuset på söndagen har väl knappast någon jazzgrupp gjort i Sverige. Det fanns inga gränser för publikens förtjusning, man stampade, man skrek, man visslade och det med en frenesi som kom Konsterthusvaktmästarna – som ändå varit med om en hel del under de senaste tio åren – att se en smula bekymrade ut. Och succén var självklart välförtjänt. Armstrong är ett jazzens unikum, som ännu efter fyrtio år spelar med en musikalitet, en värme och en friskhet som ingen annan jazzmusiker.
