Namuun Battulga

Namuun Battulga (born January 10, 1988) is the first child of the President of Mongolia Battulga Khaltmaa. Her father, Battulga Khaltmaa, also served as a former Member of Parliament, Minister of Industry and Agriculture, and Minister of Roads, Transportation, Construction, and Urban Development. Namuun grew up in Singapore from kindergarten, she first embarked on a successful marketing career in Singapore where she worked for Richard Mille Pte Ltd as a marketing manager. Namuun redirected her career and joined her father's business venture company Genco Group. In 2011, she led the Genco Tour Bureau JSC and turned it into a leading tour operator in Mongolia and one of the top-listed companies on the Mongolian stock market. She also ensured that Genco Tour Bureau played an integral role in promoting and protecting Mongolia’s untouched natural resources and nomadic traditions. Under her leadership, Genco Tour Bureau was also responsible for constructing the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue which was officially recognized as the World’s Tallest Horseman Statue by Guinness World Records.


1. Early Life

Namuun was born in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and is the first child of Ts. Entkhuyaa, was the director of the Nuudelchin Company and the President of Mongolia Battulga [Khaltmaa] .

Namuun graduated with Honors from the University of Wales in 2006-2008, Cardiff with a degree in business administration in 2008. She is also a research fellow at the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University, USA.


2. Career

Since 2018, she initiated another information technology project with local and international entrepreneurs to develop Mongolia’s first mobile communications platform designed to connect Mongolians and support the local community. She strongly believes that every country should have its own distinctive mobile presence to represent and promote its own culture. Mongolia has a unique nomadic heritage and this mobile platform will assist Mongolia in preserving its cultural heritage. In 2019 February, she has officially visited Washington DC, on behalf of the president, with the chief of staff to the president of Mongolia to support the third party trade act, which is being discussed by both houses of congress.

Alongside her business career, she is also the founder of the Chinggis Blessing NGO and Namuun Children Foundation (NCF) which is under the auspices of the President of Mongolia, an active philanthropy organization focused on improving the health, welfare, and education of children from underprivileged backgrounds. She has also started a pilot project this year for starting a coding education for the youth in Mongolia, she believes that we should start young from primary school as it is the perfect age for learning. So far the project is doing well, as their first graduates has already been hired by the top companies. Her mission is to input the program into the public education system.

In 2020, NCF plans to build a 150 bed children’s hospital in Songino Khairkhan district, Ulaanbaatar city, Mongolia. As an entrepreneur herself, she is also the Chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Council: YES for Mongolia, created under the auspices of the President of Mongolia. She organized the first summit in the Mongolian Parliament House which was attended by international key speakers and top entrepreneurs from Singapore and South Korea.


3. Battulga campaign and administration

In 2017, she officially endorsed her father’s presidential election campaign. She also led the presidential marketing campaign which targeted youth voters during the election. One of the PR video content had become the top most viewed election content.


4. Social and political causes

The purpose of Namuun Children’s Foundation is to help children in needs of education and medical, especially those who are vulnerable. Namuun Battulga used to give her hand to those who are in need as a volunteer for eight years under “Chinggisiin Khishig” non-governmental organization, which is temporarily suspended, and “Namuun Children’s Foundation” was founded under the auspices of the President in order to do substantial activities in cooperation with domestic and foreign Non-Governmental Organizations. In result of cooperation with other relevant Charity organizations around the world, we can sort out the urgent problems in a medical and an educational system and come up with solutions to relieve poverty, support humanitarian policy to provide environments where children can grow safe and secure, increase the number of humanitarian, active participants, organizations to implement enlightening policies.

Since 2008, she has donated 40-50 gifts 3 holidays (Children's day; First day of September; and New Year eve) who attended “Chinggisiin Khishig” library in Khan-Uul district, Ulaanbaatar city of Mongolia. In 2018, she donated 3.000.000 won to a baby boy who needed surgery сosts. In 2019, she donated 20 cars to Mongolian local hospital, 14 cars were donated to local hospital of rural areas and 6 cars to district's local hospital of Ulaanbaatar city. In 2020 February, she organized a clean-up campaign was launched against Covid-19.


5. Personal Life

5.1 Relationship

In 2017, she married with Tenuun Otgonbayar who is CEO of Oyunii Undraa Group. They have a child, a son born in September 2018.

5.2 Religion

She is an atheist.
