Tetradymite is uncommon bismuth, tellurium sulfosalt and this fine specimen is richly covered with bright, tin-white microcrystals in a quartz matrix. This is classic, old-time material from the historic Oravita District of Romania. Accompanied by an expertly handwritten, faded label from an older collection. The collection this came out of was a museum stash dating to prior to World War I.
